Review on πŸ’‘ Jomitop Upgrade Replacement Conversion Flashlights: Illuminate with Enhanced Performance by Narendra Thapa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great upgrade for my dad's old flashlight.

I have a cool old emergency/camping/flashlight from my dad. It is not known who makes it, only the marking on it is "Pillsbury" (as on Doughboy). It has a long fluorescent bulb at the bottom, two alternating red and amber lights at the top (with a siren if needed), and a flashlight at one end. It is powered by eight "D" elements. It worked fine, I wanted to update it because it's kinda new (and it was given to me by my dad). I installed one of these LED bulbs (P13.5S 4-12V) and it works great. I think I'm lucky with the reflector, I have a good beam, not the donut ring that some people have on some flashlights. It's a lot brighter than my incandescent bulb, but not as bright as some of my factory LED flashlights (but they're not as versatile). Having received the first bulb, I ordered two more (they are the same type) for flashing. Lightbulbs (they are under red and yellow lenses). I didn't make it, when I put them in they didn't glow at all (no flash, nada). One mixed with an incandescent lamp will light up but not blink (the incandescent lamp will be). I checked the bulbs in the flashlight, both work fine. In any case, it's possible that there's too much going on there (two bulbs alternating, not compatible with the turn signal) for the LED to handle. I put the original turn signal bulbs in there (if I hadn't waited so long to try them I probably would have sent the other two back). OK. stars from me.
