Review on Cuisinart DFP 14BCNY Processor Brushed Stainless by Jacob Jefferson

I bought this processor primarily to shred beef from various cuts of steak and it does an excellent job. I also used it to make mustard. Attention: The plastic bowl is easily scratched and dirty. There's little to no way to avoid this, since whatever you're trying to process will rub against the sides of the bowl a bit. Also, I noticed that when making the mustard, a lot of the mixture spilled out first. through the lid seal. The liquid portion of the mustard was well below the recommended level, but it still ran uncontrollably down the sides of the bowl. The processor features a 14-cup size, but I can't think of many products that could handle all 14 cups without a mess. Finally, I also tried slicing some Parmesan Reggiano cheese and it wasn't able to handle it. I'm not sure what the problem is, but the manual just warns against slicing cheese that's too soft. It's one of the hardest cheeses on the market, so I think it has it, but I expected it to be better at handling it. Instead, the slice of cheese I put in was thrown around wildly until it got stuck and started damaging the motor. I used a cheese grater blade for this and it's exactly what I've come to expect from the job. It is expected that there will be some trial and error with this machine. There may be another way to cut parmesan with it, but I haven't found one yet.
