Now I have two of these. I travel a lot and work from home, so my laptop and second monitor travel with me. I like that they are flat and take up very little space. I love traveling with them as I've always looked for a pile of books or boxes to lean against. I use the tote bag as a base and find it quite sturdy. I don't recommend banging the table hard. I'll say that although it's designed for a 17-inch laptop, you'll have to find a middle ground or it will become too heavy and tend to lean forward.
