Review on Akko Double Shot Mechanical Keyboards Collection by Brian Gopalan

This set of caps caught my attention. It looked very impressive and I was looking forward to getting it for my next keyboard build. Unpacking: The box it came in was the same as the photo. There was no packaging, just in a box like the photo. As a result, the corner was partially dented. The actual keycap body is outstanding. All 157 keys are laid out in a grid that fits well with most keyboard layouts. The buttons themselves: Each button has a PBT double click. They have a Cherry profile, so some keyboards will have some glitches depending on their design. The keys are relatively thick compared to some double ABS caps I've had (the black cap is shown in the photo). There's no see-through, so RGB should peek out from under the keycaps. They reflect some of the light from below, so white light reflects shades of purple, blue-green, or red, depending on the cap. These caps feel more comfortable than ABS and should be more durable. All my keys didn't have any serious warping. Some markings from the molds used are still visible, but mostly not visible as they are on the bottom of the cap. However, there are some font inconsistencies. Some keys, such as B. Alternative return, are in bold. Most keys are not, including the first backspace key. It's small, but worth paying attention to. Inspiration: Apparently it's a GMK Laser clone. Looking at the pictures I can say that this is almost a specimen in one. There are a few differences, but it's close enough. The main difference between them and the originals is that they are made of ABS and I don't know if they even do that. Still I would take them as they are made from PBT, cheaper than the original and in stock with premier shipping. Yes, they're not original, but paying over $100 for a set of keycaps is absurdly expensive. This set costs $60 and works just as well, if not better. Conclusion: Although I'm a clone, I love these caps. The colors are nice and clean and it suits my figure very well. If you don't care that they are clones, go for it! I would encourage you to try these.
