Got this to replace an old wiper with a 2013 Smart on the driver's side. Please note that the smart wipers on the driver and passenger side are different sizes! The previous wiper was an OEM (Rain-X) which worked fine for many years but started shedding and leaving water behind even after cleaning. The wiper has a good strong spring and flexes well. The supplied user manual shows about 8 different connection types and how to connect each one. The standard connector is a standard J-type adapter as it is the most commonly used on most vehicles in the US. The presence of an OE3 connector is one of the reasons I went with this one as it suits a wider range including most items imported from the EU. Replacing the J connector was a little interesting as the instructions don't clearly show how. It's easy to understand though: there's a small push lever on the side that can be pulled up to release a small retaining pin on the blade. When it is up, slide the wiper forward and it will detach from the adapter. Follow the reverse process to connect the OE3 adapter and you can follow the instructions to connect to your vehicle. The wiper itself works quite well. It wipes well, washes all the water off the glass, doesn't leak through, and doesn't make a loud thud. I'm excited to see how this will develop over the next few years. I have found that most wipers here last 3 to 5 years as the weather (especially ice and snow) tends to wear them down and eventually warp.
