I got this for my six and seven-year-old daughters. While this definitely is NOT something they could do on their own, it does make for a cute mommy-daughters project or, in our case, big sister/little sisters project. My daughters were so excited to do this that they didn't wait for me to be available. They asked their 18 year old sister to do it with them and, thankfully, she's always willing to do little crafting projects with her little sister. It's a great way for them to bond despite the age difference between them.My 6 year old daughter has always been obsessed with Trolls. So when I came across this, I thought it would be a fun craft for her and I to work on together one afternoon. Especially since she likes wearing scrunches just as bracelets, because that’s the "cool thing” to do these days. The kit is a really nice kit. It comes with everything needed to make the scrunches, which is nice because you don't have to rush around looking for other items to do this. The instructions were very easy to follow according to my 18 year old. She did say that after making the first two she started using less elastic for the rest of them so they'd resemble actually scrunchies and be usable for that purpose. There is defintiely no way my younger girls could have done this without the help of their sister however. Getting the clips in place can be a bit tricky. When all was said and done all of the girls were happy and my oldest daughter even kept one for herself. Definitely recommend for a rainy day. This was the perfect time to get this since our state has issued a stay-at-home order right now and it can be really hard to keep everyone entertained so they don't get cabin fever. Highly recommend if you're looking for a craft you can do with your child or a craft another adult (or teen) can do with your child. If you're looking for a craft kit that your child can do on your own, this probably won't work out very well.A final note from my daughter: Make sure you cut the length shorter and do one at a time until you find the length that meets your needs.
