Bought this to hold a super telephoto lens and Canon 1DMkIV body for capturing wildlife, mostly birds. The tripod easily handles the largest configurations and offers enough adjustment options for a very tall person. It climbs to a height of over 7 feet! I also purchased a GHB2C gimbal head with this unit and am very pleased with the initial appearance of the setup. It should be noted that this tripod configuration does not use a center column for field height adjustment as this would increase instability. . It takes a little getting used to when you adjust the legs for the height adjustment at the last minute, but the strength and ease of adjusting the legs more than makes up for the lack of a stand. The case that comes with it is very nice and well padded. Disassembly is easy and storing in a bag is a quick process. The tripod came with very strong rubber feet, small rubber feet and a selection of large metal spikes. I like it.
