I bought 3x5 and 2x3 rugs as kitchen rugs. I am a chef / catering and cook in my home kitchen every day. It's hard to reconcile the idea of being both functional and stylish in kitchen rugs, but they do! I needed something that would stand up to both regular machine washes and heat drying. Check! I also wanted something fancy with texture and visual interest. Check! Yes they move when used alone but I have a fatigue mat under one and a plain mat under the other and I have no problem moving them around. I can take them outside to give them a good shake for a quick refresher, or toss them in the washing machine to get rid of stains. So far I have successfully washed off tomato sauce, wine, fish blood, broken fruit and even cheese sauce with a regular wash without any pre-treatment. They come out of the dryer like new every time. Without a doubt the best rugs I have ever owned. Edit: After a year and countless washes, these rugs are still in pristine condition. I wash them at least once a week and they still look brand new.
