. This power supply has a retractable/removable AC connector like the original (some third-party power supplies do not have this feature). This was important to me because I also bought a 6ft power cord extension that plugs into this slot - rather than using a regular extension cord - it's a little safer plugging it into an outlet/surge protector than the original jack ( it wobbles in place is too easy). Seems to be working fine at this point - tried to boost my Macbook Pro from 70% to 100% in minutes. I bought it as a backup so I don't know how long it will last with normal use.
