Used this tool to run the shifter cable housing through my Yeti's frame that doesn't have molded guide tubes. At first the tool worked even though the magnets were weak. offers hardly any cabling through the frame. At some point the instrument broke; a piece of wire with a magnet broke off the tip attached to the cable body. Luckily I managed to get the magnet out of the frame so it didn't get stuck there. Examination of the broken tool showed that a piece of wire with a magnet was only glued to the end part, but it was not possible to glue it.
