Don't forget to add the $50 cable.

I've been using Arlo cameras for 2 years and I really love them. The best thing about them is that they can be installed almost anywhere and I always make sure the power cord is there so I don't have to keep changing batteries. I currently have 3 Arlo Ultra 4k cameras all using Wasserstein power cables with no issues. When I bought this fixture I ordered the same cables as the fixture uses the same cable connector as the Ultra 4k cameras. I like Wasserstein because they are reasonably priced and of good quality. The problem is that this spotlight camera turns off, if she's using anything other than Arlo's own power cord (and at a ridiculously high price). What the hell Arlo? In the first screenshot you can see the heater turning itself off when connected to the Wasserstein power cord. The funny thing is that in this screenshot, the camera directly below (Arlo Ultra) uses the same Wasserstein cable and is working fine. There is no explanation for this other than that Arlog is getting greedy and implementing firmware updates designed to block third-party power cables. I wouldn't mind buying Arlo cables, but they cost $50. Yes, $50 for the USB cable! The camera itself is good and the light is bright so I keep it to myself. You can definitely tell it's not as good as 4k cameras, which makes me wonder why the spotlight is not offered in the 4k version. However, what worries me the most is that if all new Arlo cameras only require Arlo-branded cables, I'll probably win. I won't buy anymore. I've been a loyal Arlo customer and have recommended them to friends and family, but that ends now unless Arlo allows us to use third-party cables like all their older cameras allow. Yesterday I got this stupid $50 cable and now it works like it should with other cables. There is no reason why this shouldn't work with Wassersteinkabel. I won't buy anymore.
