Both of my cats love to sleep under the covers (especially my 4 year old tuxedo cat Marley). So I bought it mainly for her in hopes it could be a little hideaway for my new kitty Rory (I know he looks big in the photos but he's only 6 months old). Turns out they both LOVE it! Once I set it up, they took turns sleeping inside. Product Review: The environment is quite spacious for a cat, I'm sure my two could sleep comfortably in it if they wanted to. Once you get the poles in the right position, the tipi is pretty stable - I had no problem with it collapsing even when they tried to climb on it (my kitty wants a rope securing the poles on top). I washed it immediately after opening because Marley is sensitive to new smells and it held up well through the wash. I washed both the tent and the pillow on a delicate cycle, then dried the tent on a low heat while the pillow air dried. The bottom of the cushion and teepee have small rubber tabs to prevent slipping (see photo). I'm not sure how effective this will be on hardwood floors as I have rug BUT my cats couldn't get the cushion out of the teepee and its rough rump didn't let it slip out. Looks chic, exactly what you see in the promotional photos. I really like the drawing of a small pine tree! How amazing!?! .Anyway I think it's cute and my cats love it, hence 5 stars from me, don't regret the purchase.
