Review on 🔊 Metra 82-3004 6X9" Speaker Adapter: Perfect Fit for GM Trucks (2014 Models) by Knate Scarpelli

The price was reasonable because it was easier to install rear speakers on a 2014 Silverado. But the overall quality was poor. Metra does great things but they really failed on this project. The bracket could be better to prevent "loosening" and the mounting holes for the speakers could definitely be done differently so you don't have to use a long screw to mount the speaker to the door instead of the adapter itself to attach The adapter uses the factory attachment point. Overall, cutting the factory speaker and shaving it off to use as a spacer would be better than buying these. The same applies to the 6x9 version of this adapter for the Silverado.
