Let me first say that I usually wear a US 33-34 waist and medium fits me. The material is very comfortable and soft, much better than waffle briefs and thermal underwear and works well in temperatures around 35-70 F as a base layer. Landing is not compression, but not free. My conclusions from the two stars are due to the fact that the material in the buttocks/buttocks and inner thighs has already started to roll, although there wasn't much friction. I have worn this item 12-15 times and have only washed it a few times (gentle cycle, cold wash). I hope they make the material more durable because otherwise they are a very good pair of thermals.
