This product was needed when I added a 2.5 SSD to my 2010 Mac Pro 5.1. The SSD fit perfectly in the cart with no issues and slid easily into one of my drive bays. It also complemented the PCIe SSD that resides on the motherboard, which is the primary boot drive for the Mac Pro. Mount Pro's drive sleds gave the SSD a more secure function to work in the drive bay as backup storage than some people would stick them in the drive bays. In the future I plan to order another sled for my 2009 Mac Pro 4.1 that has been upgraded to 5.1. For all 2009-2012 Mac Pro owners, I highly recommend installing a 2.5-inch drive in the drive bays.
