Very good for work, suitable for casual play, not suitable for IQ

Short version: For basic IT work, as this monitor is very thin and portable, comes with an included stand and protective case, and only requires a single USB-C cable connection, it's perfect for my intended use case. However, there are other use cases where this monitor would be suboptimal or perhaps even unusable. Long version: As many people have experienced Covid, my children and my work have gone completely remote/virtual. My family took this opportunity to roam the countryside in a van and I needed a second monitor to get my work done. I needed something that took up minimal storage space, had at least 15 inches of screen real estate, and was durable enough to survive travel. sorted to keep it at a proper viewing angle. For my use case, the Lepow Z1 gamut model does everything I wanted. Can accept a mini HDMI cable (included) and an external USB-C power adapter (tiny wall wart included), which allows me to connect my laptop's extra GPU (which doesn't support USB-C output), to play 3D games on the Lepow display. It also includes a simple but functional hard magnetic folding case, similar to iPad cases with "stitching". " Designed to support the screen at multiple angles. This case then folds the monitor to protect the front and back of the screen when not in use. It also comes with a glossy screen protector (I haven't used it, it looked too shiny to me) and some basic documentation to get you started.Following the included and easy online registration instructions will extend the warranty (I believe the extension time depends on the model). If your Monitor is registered, you can also contact support to get the right ICC profile for use on Apple or Windows devices (more on that later) Aesthetics and haptics: The display has an anthracite satin finish; lighter than metallic gray and darker than something like silver It has some "metal grain" although it's just a hard plastic material and not real appears to be metal. The screen itself is matte, with an inner thin chrome ring, with a black bezel, which in turn is surrounded by another thin chrome ring. The bezel is fairly thin, about an inch wide, and the chrome accent is the thickness of a sanded graphite pencil line. Honestly, I wish they would ditch the chrome accent, as the slight, subtle imperfections in the chrome plastic become very visible when reflected in the light. The whole device has a decent weight; not too heavy, but not light enough to convey "cheap". The buttons are a bit finicky for UI controls but work well enough. Performance: This is absolutely fine as a 2D display device for office applications and general desktop use. The brightness is sufficient, even if the contrast is somewhat lacking. The display includes an HDR mode of sorts that attempts to control the overall brightness based on what's on the screen, sometimes leading to questionable resolutions. As a 3D display designed for gaming, it is a standard IPS panel with a 60Hz refresh rate, so no one should expect a high-quality, lag-free, and ghosting-free gaming experience. Saving the worst for last: despite an ICC profile and some ability to manipulate individual RGB levels via the OSD, it still has serious color flaws. While there are ways to apply even more fixes via GPU control panel options or third-party software, you really should just skip it if you're interested in working with high color fidelity. That being said, this monitor does everything I need and the relative deficiencies in refresh rate and color accuracy don't detract from my use of the product. For those on the go who need a second display for texting and office tasks, this monitor is just the ticket. It's also fun to connect a USB-C source to one of my Android phones and use it for kids to watch various TV streaming apps without having to turn on one of the big RV TVs. This, of course, reduces the battery life of your phone.
