Edit: I think I first got the package around 2/18. From 3.3. (February is a very short month, exactly 14 days / 2 weeks later) it starts to flicker and the monitor has become unusable. Because it flashes the Lepow logo as if trying to turn on for 0.0001 seconds, then immediately dims as if the power went out, and repeats indefinitely so the monitor never really turns on. Since this problem started, it has only turned on successfully once after a few minutes of flickering. In the worst case, when the cable was moved for the next use, it started again and could no longer be switched on. Unfortunately, this is not a simple cable problem. I tried a few different working cables and none of them worked. I then used the same supplied USB-C power cable with a different image + power connector and it worked, so it must be faulty at the power connector level or even at the motherboard level, possibly burnt or loose, but 1) I haven't used it as usual for 2 jobs and 2) the monitor has been on the desk since day one. He never fell down as he never got up. Lepow seems to have great customer support, but the lifespan of this particular product is too short to be sure. I was lucky this time it happened within 30 days but what if next time it happens out of warranty? I could arrange a replacement and see, or I could just return it. I haven't decided yet. If I send it back I think I will at least leave the seller a positive rating as their customer service seems great but not the lifespan of the product. Lepov seemed to suggest that if we ever needed to replace a defective monitor under warranty, they would cover the cost of return shipping. I don't know if this is a used item or not. If I decide to get a replacement instead of a refund then I think I'll definitely have to go down the extended warranty route. This extends it from 1 year to 3 (0.5?) years, but it also means that I have to provide more personal data. ----- Pros: - It works - It's lightweight and portable - It's a big screen - It's bright enough for indoors - It comes with a magnetic cover and screen protector - It also comes with 3 cables (HDMI- minihdmi, usbc -usbc, usbc-usb for plug) - works with phone and computer - yes it can work as a second screen for devices as it claims, but it can also work as a single screen for desktop for those who wondering as I was wondering - somewhat affordable because Lepow always has some sort of discount, to be honest it's a fairly affordable monitor that works and I have few complaints about my monitor - that's enough to say about it think about buying it in the future. Now I just have to see how long it lasts. THERE IS A PROBLEM. One of its ports seems to be very controversial. the plugged-in cable wobbles and is sometimes not visible, so i'm a bit worried about the longevity of the monitor. It has a 12 month warranty so if it breaks I'm hoping for a replacement. I hope the seller can explain how this works. The following isn't a deal breaker for me personally, but there's definitely room for improvement, so here are suggestions for the company: - "Pushing" the button to select "OK" felt very dubious to me am always afraid of breaking something and every time i click it it gets stuck in it which makes the menu pretty much useless. The power connector and video input are NOT on the same side. Therefore, it CANNOT switch to portrait mode while standing. unless you use the USB-C connector for power AND input, but that sacrifices some of its functionality and quickly drains your device's battery, which speaks of flipping. It is also not automatically flipped for the computer. It also doesn't turn all 4 sides. If you want to rotate the screen you'll need to select it in the display settings on your computer (the phone is obviously different) - it doesn't seem able to connect to Apple products with the cables that come with it. Instead, you need a Lightning to HDMI cable. and for the iPad you get a set of cables as the iPad will not recognize the monitor unless you connect BOTH HDMI and a LIGHTNING POWER cable to the iPad. This is in addition to the power cord that you need to keep an eye on. I couldn't find this information anywhere and had a lot of trouble with it when trying to connect to the adapter via HDMI only. The monitor cannot stand alone. I'm always afraid it will tip over. The magnetic cover is not attached to the monitor itself and falls off often enough that I don't feel confident holding the monitor at any height on my own. even on the table. I finally gave in and put the monitor on the table instead, and I think this design element annoyed me the most. This monitor can work better with a proper stable stand. Other Thoughts: I've argued between 4k monitors and this one, worried that it's the 'worst' resolution, but honestly, maybe because I've used laptop screens most of my life, I find that this monitor has a decent resolution or even better than any of the regular 1920x1080 screens and I have no regrets that it's not 4k at all. It is just like any other computer screen in normal use, no better than TV quality but no worse than a good laptop monitor.
