Review on DEWALT DW8424B5 2 Inch 0 045 Inch Cutting by Andy Baker

I bought these discs a few weeks ago and only tried them yesterday so I can't return them but I definitely would because they are rubbish. I build the frame of the canopy out of .093" thick 1.5" square steel tubing. The first blade I tried stuck halfway through the first cut and created melt lines along the cut telling me the blade is overheating and melting instead of cutting steel. I dropped the Dewalt disc and put in another branded disc I had on my desk and it worked great. I have used hundreds of cut-off wheels in my projects and usually buy what is sold at the hardware store. Maybe I got a bad batch or it's a fake because I can't imagine Dewalt making such a crappy product. I think I can use them for coasters.
