Great for removing old glue from concrete

This grinding wheel does an excellent job of removing old glue from concrete. We pulled up outdoor carpet that had been glued down for 30 years, and thought the glue would be almost impossible to remove. However, this grinding wheel on a Harbor Freight angle grinder with a Herzo surface grinding dust shroud was definitely the tool to use. As with any tool never used before, I recommend caution initially until you find the right pressure and speed to apply to keep from making too deep of grove…

Pros
  • Buena herramienta para quitar detalles y pintura.
Cons
  • Not suitable for delicate or fine materials

Works as intended on my review.

Needed to remove about 1/4" of granite counter-top from each side to fit a new stove. It did not fit my Dewalt angle grinder very well, but I was able to correct that to get it to work. Knocked a star off for that, but the product worked as intended and did what it needed to do. Quickly trimmed the granite down. Cost was great as previous diamond grinding wheels from the big box stores cost more (but fit correctly). This did what I needed it to do and for a price that was good.

Pros
  • Gives you more control over the grinding process
Cons
  • Not useful for polishing or buffing

Was great for a paver project

Purchased for use dry grinding edges of saw cut concrete patio pavers. No blade nicks after perhaps 90 feet of rounding and bevel work with rather moderate pressure. Grind on the pavers near as fine as the mold. Used with a basic corded Ryobi that had amble power. Very happy it will be around in shape future projects.

Pros
  • It’s a great diamond wheel. Works like it should and a lot cheaper then store.
Cons
  • Can be quite bulky and heavy to use

Rounded my unrounded extension joint.

I had a concrete extension joint that was rounded on one side, but not the other. I have nothing to compare this grinder to, but it seemed to be the perfect grinder for this purpose as it was neither too quick or too slow at grinding away so that I came up with something that got rid of the trip hazard a 90-degree cut on one side of a concrete extension gives.

Pros
  • grinds evenly
Cons
  • Not very versatile and only useful for certain tasks

hole was not the right size for 7/8 " arbor

I bought this wheel to grind down the rust and scale on steel, why this one-? Because is is so fine- it does not leave scratches like an abrasive stone wheel would. The marks left on the steel are very fine and easy to grind out. Problem: The center hole is not 7/8" diameter that would fit my standard hand held angle grinder. I had to drill out the center hole to make it work, once that was done it works for what "I" want it to do. I have not used it to grind down concrete with. It is still a…

Pros
  • SPECIFICATIONS:4" x 7/8" x 4/5" x 5/8" (100mm x 22mm x 20mm x 16mm). Please double check the size info before purchase.
Cons
  • Could cause damage to surrounding areas if not used correctly

Very effective ! good for me

I found this grinding wheel to be perfect for the job I was facing. 20 years of paint on a walkway, several coats but this wheel had no trouble with removing all of it down to the original cement. Walkway was about 15 feet long and 3 feet wide. I spaced out the grinding into 15-20 sessions. Let the grinder do the work and it Will!

Pros
  • It did exactly what it was supposed to do. Seems to last.
Cons
  • Not for use on metal or other materials

Great for thinset best in my review

This is working amazingly well for removing tile thinset from my subfloor. Of course, it has to be paired with a shroud with vacuum attachment. I tried every other way to remove it and was having a miserable time. It still isn't fun, but this thing eats that stuff up. Plus, it is less than half the price of the cheapo tool store.

Pros
  • Ideal for both professional contractors and DIY enthusiasts
Cons
  • May be difficult to determine when the blade needs to be replaced

Excellent product good for me

I had never used a diamond cup disk before . I used it to remove paint from my porch and sidewalk, approximately 500sf, after some practice I began letting the tool do the work and the process became much easier. I highly recommend this product.

Pros
  • Just what we needed for our project
Cons
  • May need to be replaced frequently

Highly Recommended Grinding Wheel

This tool exceeded what I expected it could do. Very durable and aggressive in grinding my cement wall. I wanted my concrete block wall smooth before I painted it and this grinding wheel did excellent. I highly recommend it.

Pros
  • Built for heavy-duty use
Cons
  • Could damage power tools if not used properly

Does the job as described

I used the grinding wheel to get rid of tile set in the bathroom. It works extremely well, and I was able to finish the floor in no time. The process creates a lot of dust, so make sure to wear a mask.

Pros
  • Arrive in time and as expected. Excelent for using as first step in polishing concrete tops.
Cons
  • Can be noisy when used

I used this grinder with the Diment housing that you also install on the grinder machine. Then attached the system to suction air vacuum machine. It worked out fine and quickly ground down the edges of the new stone concrete surfaces to make them even with the older concrete that had to be repaired. Now the walkway area is completely repaired flat and even. Excellent product.

Pros
  • Provides a consistent, polished finish
Cons
  • Can produce a lot of noise and debris

It’s great on stone.

I used on glacial till stones. Hollowed them out for a mortar to grind pepper. Really doubtful it would scoop out granite but it did. Use plenty water to cool and beat back the dust

Pros
  • Able to handle tough materials with ease
Cons
  • Can cause structural damage if used on weak surfaces
