What an improvement over the Magnetic Mount Mobile Antenna on a metal roof. I recently decided to return to amateur radio after a hiatus of about a year. I just had an old Kenwood 70cm 16 line phone and wanted to upgrade it. I've always wanted a dual band radio so I bought one and decided it was time to use the base station antenna with a new setup. Climbed Revane and stumbled across this little beauty, ordered and it came a day earlier than promised. Delivered immediately and up in the air and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I can only hit repeaters at 40 miles with this antenna, about 20 feet from the top. Good audio notifications from people, signal strength tripled compared to a mobile mount on a metal roof. I ordered my first quad band radio and I'm loving the reception I'm getting with this little beauty. only about 4 feet tall and the bottom radials are a winner, so much so that I raised them another 5 feet and now it's like a whole new world has opened up. I highly recommend this antenna!
