You will be very satisfied with this antenna

I am very satisfied with this antenna. That's all the manufacturer promised. Bought a stand to mount on. It has really improved my reception and transmission to repeaters more than 50 miles away.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Negative impression

Better than expected!

I've had this antenna for a few months now. I have to say it worked perfectly. At 20 feet I can reach repeaters 40 miles away at 25 watts. It also works great on the receiving end, often picking up repeaters in other states.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Hard to say

Fantastic antenna, best radio antenna ever

What a great antenna. Works much better than my other more expensive antenna. Mounted on a 5 foot piece of double walled PVC. The mast is mounted on a tripod I had at home. Tested at 15W with an SWR of 1. 1. Can cover all repeaters within range. the right impression

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

Incredibly happy. on accessories and consumables

Very easy to install, comes with matching accessories. The corresponding impedance using about 60 feet of 8x was 1.152:1 on 70 cm National Simplex and about the same on 2 m National Simplex (US band plan). So far very satisfied. I was able to connect to all of the repeaters in the area, as well as several more than 15 miles (through the West Virginia hills) from my QTH home in the valley.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Ok where do I start I had a .

Ok where do I start I had a 1/4 wave antenna for the wile. I just bought this ANLI antenna and installed it 50 feet up on the roof. With a transmission power of 100 watts, I noticed that the swr radiated high frequency throughout the house. The lowest SWR I could get is 1,3,1 at 146,525. Customers' comets on the ground plane are too short, my stem is 13 inches long. gets stuck at 146,525 but seems to work. 3 stars for good construction, 3 ground sticks sticking out straight. 144,000 to 146,000โ€ฆ

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • No power

Works very well for me

Works very well. I placed this on a 10 foot pipe tied to a fence post. I have 25ft RG 8s going into the pass and another 6ft RG 8s going into the SWR/power meter. On my MFJ 259b analyzer the SWR on VHF never exceeds 1.5/1. I have no UHF/440/70 cm measuring possibility to measure the SWR there. I live in the Sacramento Mountains of New Mexico, so my tutoring work in the cities or on the flats has no value, so it's not included. I pick up fixed stations like the sheriff's office and other publicโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

GREAT! But pick it up!

So I'm new to ham radio and found this. Read reviews and find expert advice to not believe removal claims. I use a Yaesu FT-60 5W portable radio. This antenna serves its purpose perfectly. I was struggling to get to a nearby town before getting this antenna. Working with some other radio amateurs, I was able to raise the antenna up to about 30 feet. My friend from a neighboring town says I'm free now. We can even speak of a simplex. Last night I managed to catch 3 nets: the first from a nearbyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Useless features

What an improvement over the Magnetic Mount Mobile Antenna on a metal roof. I recently decided to return to amateur radio after a hiatus of about a year. I just had an old Kenwood 70cm 16 line phone and wanted to upgrade it. I've always wanted a dual band radio so I bought one and decided it was time to use the base station antenna with a new setup. Climbed Revane and stumbled across this little beauty, ordered and it came a day earlier than promised. Delivered immediately and up in the air and

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • A little maintainability

Good multiband antenna - not too ugly on the roof - mine was black

I have a GMRS and radio license and plan to get a hobbyist technician class license in a few weeks, what was the reason for this purchase. I have a Yaesu FT-2900R currently being used as a great VHF scanner while awaiting license review. A local ham who is currently my mentor also helped me with some of the following SWR measurements, interesting results. The SWR was measured with an MFJ-874 meter. The antenna is installed just 1 foot above the roof. Fifty feet of RG-8x cable line. For testing,

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Good but not great
