This is a very fast switch for the home use . But it's garbage. I've had it for 5 months and it's already dead. I replaced it with Dlink so we'll see how well it works. The problem is that first. The wart on the wall is huge. This is not a switching power supply. This is a direct transformer. Second, there are two components in the switch that overheat. One seems to me to be a power regulator and the other seems to be some kind of microcircuit that I can't identify. These two components get so hot that the switch goes into "Blink" mode and stops working. If you spray freon on the chips, the switch returns briefly. But in the end it will soon fail again. Maybe you could solve that with heatsinks. but I didn't have these little ones to test. The kicker was, after leaving the switch in this flashing mode for several days, the wall wart overheated and could no longer supply the 1 amp needed to power the switch. Unfortunately, I disassembled the switch, so I couldn't claim the warranty. I have another one that hasn't failed yet, so maybe I'll send it back under warranty.
