Excellent. I've had it for a few years now and it holds up to everyday wear and tear. I bought these after looking through a few spice grinders and swapping them out regularly. This mortar and pestle has since become the cornerstone of my culinary routine and I will never go back to it. Not to mention it's beautiful, it has two sides to work with (one I use for savory/spicy foods and the other for sweeter preparations) and the lid is useful both as a lid and for protecting the countertop during use.
