After watching a few tutorials on YouTube and reading reviews about DIY lash lifts, I got my first lash lift. I have long, straight lashes that curl at the ends. My lashes curl easily with an eyelash curler. But even with waterproof mascara, my lashes droop in wet weather, rain or snow. This kit contains detailed and simple instructions. I used the recommended time: 15 minutes for a curl lotion; 10 minutes to fix the lotion; 5 minutes for moisturizing lotion. Curling and setting lotions are very odorless. It took 1.5 hours, each made an eye. I love my beautifully lifted lashes and get compliments on them. Update 11/22/2017: My first lash line lasted 4 weeks. I used large silicone pads and enough perm and hold lotions to coat the lashes. Since this was my first time, I was wary of using chemicals so close to my eyes. However, for my second lash curl, I used medium sized silicone pads because I wanted more lift and curl. I also permed a more generous amount and applied lotions to my lashes. My lashes look even better with more lift and curl. My second wave of lashes lasted 5 weeks. Here are some tips: (1) Both white glue sticks and silicone pads (S, M, L) are included. The smaller the overhang on the silicone pads, the higher the incline. A large lip gives more camber but less lift. For my first perm, I used oversized silicone pads for a more natural curl. For my second perm, I used medium pads for more lift and more curl; I like the higher lift and twist. (2) Trim the top and sides of the silicone pads to fit the eyelids. (3) Wait for the adhesive to become sticky before applying the pad to the eyelid and leave the pad on the eyelid for at least a few minutes. Be careful not to accidentally get the lashes caught under the pad. All eyelashes must be loosened so that they can be lifted onto the pad. (4) Wait for the glue to become tacky before lifting the lashes from the base to the tip of the lashes and pad. When gluing the lashes onto the pad, try to do small sections at a time, starting at one end and then moving to the other end. When all the lashes are glued to the pad, apply a thin layer of glue to the lashes for extra hold. (5) When sticking the eyelashes on the pad, the eyelashes will spread straight and evenly. All gathered or crossed eyelashes are fixed in this way. If you don't stick them on perfectly, the lashes will look wobbly afterwards. (6) Wait for the glue to dry completely before applying perm lotion. Apply the perm lotion as close to the roots as possible for better curling. Do not apply perm lotion to the tips of your eyelashes as this can cause your eyelashes to curl too much and the tip of your eyelashes to stick to your eyelid. (7) After applying a generous amount of perming lotion to the lashes, cover the Saran Wrap pad to allow the lashes to stick to the pad. set a timer; don't guess (8) After applying a large amount of setting lotion to the eyelashes, cover the pads with cling film. set a timer; don't guess (9) After the eyelash lift is completed, gently comb the eyelashes with an eyelash comb. This is to separate the lifted lashes and help them fit perfectly. (10) During the first 24 hours, the raised lashes will still change shape and need time to "set". No heat, steam, sauna, water, oils, lotions, creams, shampoos, facial cleansers, mascaras, or makeup removers for 24 hours. Sleep on your back the first night.
