Rescued a friend who was unlucky and injured his back and couldn't work. Bought because of the big price difference. The OEM was $68 each and the pair was $32.99. It worked for a few months, then it started to work very badly and set camshaft codes. Everything double checked on it and all tests pointed to solenoids. Bought 2 new ones from dealer and problem solved. Lesson learned. Use original parts for 5.4 3 valves, otherwise they can bite you. You don't have to worry about returning them so they end up in the trash. Another note: There are 2 types of valve covers on the engine. One has a small hole, the other a larger one. These sealed cams close the hole in the cover, allowing you to pull out the solenoids without removing the cover. If you have a smaller bore, the valve covers should come loose.
