A non-slip bath mat can be an important - potentially even life-saving - investment, especially for the elderly, those with balance problems, and those with injuries or illnesses. This rubber mat is very well designed and feels durable. It covers just under half the bottom of my bathtub (standard size) and offers just enough coverage for you to move about in the shower. The suction cups on the bottom are very effective, keeping the mat firmly in place and not slipping at all even when I move. The texture of the surface also provides effective friction and keeps feet secure. Holes in the mat allow water to drain and help prevent the growth of bacteria or mold. It is recommended to hang the mat to dry after use; it can also be machine washed. My only minor complaint is that the suction cups can get a bit irritating underfoot if you have sensitive feet, but it's not too bad and overall comfortable. Considering its hygienic design and durability (as far as I can tell) I expect this rug to last a long time.
