On the recommendation of a dentist I bought my first mouthguard for grinding and clenching my teeth. I had read the previous reviews and thought I'd give it a try as the price was right. Here are my reasons for 3 stars.1. The restoration process on first use was easy enough, now that my teeth aren't perfectly aligned it took a few steps to get a tight fit. I didn't want to make any modifications to the fairing after only a few uses, so I just removed the attached tab for hot water immersion. I cut it as close as possible but when it was removed it left a rough patch. I slept 2 nights and the sore spot rubbed my upper lip and hurt a bit. The tray seemed slightly larger than my teeth but I hesitated to cut until I at least tried it, as I said it was a first for me. After 2 nights with the rough texture mentioned above, the protection is quite thick and I don't like it. I hesitate to cut to a more comfortable fit. I wake up with tired mouth, teeth and gums and feel a little sore, even more than without clothes4. I decided to buy another brand and try again.
