There are a few things you need to do to make it work. I only needed the FOB, not the key. I opened it up and put it in the already cut key. You can program the card to receive a lock and unlock signal. Then you have to go to a locksmith who has a computer to program the FOB to make the machine work. Without cutting the key, the locksmith charged me $60. New key, cutting, programming would cost me $180. It was worth it for me.
