USB-C/Thunderbolt operate at their fully supported speeds or as a "smartโ cable with a host in the cable itself (e.g. TB3 and TB4 certified), making it can be longer or in a "dumb" cable by simply being as short as possible. It's just a very short "blunt" cable. I think you're better off buying an adapter at half price and plugging an old 1/2 foot cable or less into it and getting the same result with a lot more flexibility, then you have the added luxury of being able to use any Thunderbolt Being able to connect cable length while maintaining maximum throughput. In fact, this is a lightning adapter of inconvenient sizes, mistaken for a cable.
