The only thing I didn't like was that it came folded in a box (required due to size). The soft material took some time to hold its shape and stay flat. First I used duck tape to keep it low - it might have been overkill but I needed a little help. Otherwise, the liner does its job of protecting the storage area (behind the rear seat) from spills. It also keeps things from sliding too much that might otherwise slide. It works like a great handle! Without hesitation I started lugging garbage bags or gas cans to and from gas stations even though my Forester was only 1 month new. Don't be afraid of spilling liquid on the carpet now that it's protected. Simply wiping or vacuuming is sufficient. Costs money. Just make sure the liner is tight so the tailgate/gate latch will close properly.
