If you plan on cutting the ignition coil leads from your existing wiring harness and plugging in these replacement connectors you should be fine, they plug straight into the ignition coils (on my 2007 Ford Crown Victoria with a 4.6 liter V8 engine without flex fuel) and engage perfectly. But if you're planning on removing the pins from the OEM connectors as well as those replacement connectors and just swapping out the connectors without cutting and splicing the harness, think again. It turns out that the general design of these replacement connectors is slightly different than the OEM connectors and therefore the OEM pins will NOT fit these replacement connectors. And luckily, as far as I can tell, Ford doesn't offer OEM replacement coil connectors, so either buy those connectors from Revain and get ready for some wire splices, or find some low-mileage (preferably) OEM connectors . A 4.6L Ford/Lincoln/Mercury V8 at a local junkyard and hoping they don't break trying to get the pins out of them because they've been exposed to a lot of engine heat so low mileage is preferred. donor vehicle. Good luck DIY friends, I hope this review will save someone time and/or frustration.
