First, there were no instructions for this product. I'm not sure if this was done on purpose, though. It does not matter. I've had less complicated devices that came with a reliable manual. It's not difficult to understand, but it's still uncomfortable. Second. This stand is only partially adjustable in width. It comes with a set of extension bolts that extend the bars by about an inch, which is all the width you can get. Third. The shelf is a big disappointment. I was hoping to put my Akai Minin Mark II on it. Not wide enough. I can barely get the controller under this thing. The shelf barely fits in my Alesis SR-16 drum machine. I'll say it's strong if you tighten all the rods enough. I can type on my laptop without hesitation. I ended up buying it to unify my music workspace so I have more space for my synths and controllers. I did it, but not in the way I wanted. I'm keeping the device but I don't think it cost $30 and I wouldn't recommend it to any of my friends.
