They are aluminum and easily broken or lost. So if you remove the tank to fill it, there's a good chance they'll fall off or break. One of mine broke while dressing and the other must be lost to stay. They are likely to break if you lower the tank quickly and put a lot of force on them. They should have been spring steel, not aluminum! I don't recommend them, but if you insist on installing them, install them to match the holes in the tank ring and be careful when moving the tanks. I recommend spending money on 024-5002 Tank Halo. It costs $16.80 for one ($33.60 for 2). If you don't like the price, check out my review on using 1x2 tanks.
