First impression with Wyze Cam 3.

This is a first impression review. As with many other reviews, I will update them over time, be it good or bad. So I added the Wyze Cam 3s in combination with home security and automation, but those things need power. And I didn't want to plug into very few outlets outside of the house, and I have outlets in the attic for work lights and such, so here's what I did. #1. Find a spot where I wanted to mount the camera about 10 feet off the ground per Wyze's instructions, which meant I used outdoor security camera mounts, but that's another discussion, but let's do it now keep going. Adjust cam, determine where the cable runs through the siding. And drill a hole. This is a 10mm fitting so either 10mm or 13/32 inch. hole if you have a set of fine grit drill bits. Route the micro USB end to the camera INSIDE to avoid missing the large USB end, attach the cable to the camera and attach the cable to the wall/panel or below. or sideways or something. My drop was less than 2 inches so it just hung there. Go inside and run the cable to where you can get power. In my case I connected a triple ground coupler to one of the outlets in the attic and used the outside like coax clamps to attach the wire to the rafters for routing. Connect and check power. If everything works fine fill hole in fairing with paintable sealant, allow to dry and paint with touch up paint. long which allows me to run one from each side of the house and meet in the middle where my outlet is which is amazing. I have a lot of extra cables left over, but that's not a problem. The line itself is well made, the injected ends seem ok. At that distance, you REALLY shouldn't be sending a USB signal down this cable, but the performance should be more than okay. Cables loosen the tiny wires inside as they work back and forth. As long as you use it for its intended purpose to power the camera via USB and secure the cable to minimize movement, you should never have problems with the power supply. Remember, you don't have to. There are reviewers who say yes. Not sure about the situation there.
