I've been using it to wash and store lettuce for a week and I'm very happy with it (especially for the price). I appreciate that the mechanism for spinning the salad is well made and the plastic that makes up the container feels solid. The strainer (the part that spins) is also made of durable polyester that's unlikely to crack or melt in the wash. My two concerns when I hit the buy button were: 1) Is it a flimsy disposable item that I'll have to replace in a year? 2) Can I use this to keep my salad fresh all week? The answers are "no" and "yes". I'm a lucky tourist.
