The item outside of the box is not compatible with Quest 2. If you tighten the straps and press the cushion slightly against your face, the silicone rim at the top of your forehead protrudes too much, blocking that little sensor that detects if you're wearing a headset. This causes the Quest 2's screen to keep turning on and off during use, thinking you've taken it off. The solution was to cut a small section above this sensor with scissors. Easy fix and now it works fine. It is not as comfortable as the original pillow as it is cold and sticky when inflated and tends to stick to skin after prolonged wear. But it doesn't matter. One of its benefits is that it solves the OEM pillow problem that 1000s of my hair gets stuck in. These little hairs tickle my eyes, nose, cheeks etc and drive me crazy! There seems to be no other way to prevent this than this silicone case I bought it for.
