Review on 24 Inch Dell S2421HGF Anti Glare Monitor with 1920X1080P Resolution by Sam Gardner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Almost NO halos!

I bought a BenQ XL2411P here at Revain for Christmas, it arrived two days later, obviously I couldn't wait for December 25th so I opened it up and tried it. I honestly don't understand the hype. The ghosting was so bad (to say the least) that I tried to find a solution on the internet and all I could read on the forums was to turn on the blur correction, adjust it, etc. I spent a whole day on it to solve the problem Ghosting problem. I declined and sent it back. After a day of researching monitors, I had two more on the list: a DELL S2421HGF and a ViewSonic gaming monitor that was twice the price. Good thing this one was $199 and I hit the buy button. The monitor came within 2 days. Colors aren't as good as VA or IPS, but I'm very impressed that this monitor has almost no visible ghosting. I will never use another cheap brand again. Don't believe the hype. To be honest I'm starting to wonder if these reviews are legit as I can't understand how anyone could settle for such a bad halo. Buy authentic and trusted brands that have had success here in the US (Dell, ViewSonic, Samsung, LG, etc.). You won't be disappointed with this monitor even if you're on a tight budget. This Dell S2421HGF outperforms my old Viotek 1440p 144hz VA display, it crushes the much vaunted BenQ XL2411P which has such a bad halo it feels like every game is running on Need for Speed's Nitrous. If you want smooth gameplay then this is it.
