I've been using furniture glides for a long time. I recently moved house and somehow my old sliders didn't reach me so I bought this set. These are your standard rug glides and consist of a hard plastic disc that attaches to the side of the rug and the black foam side is placed face up for your furniture to rest on. They make moving things much easier. I'm 5ft 2" tall and have placed them under my entertainment center, Quaker style kitchen table and bookshelf and I can move these items around on my own fairly easily rather than having to make strenuous, awkward movements with one hand. the shimmy other side method across the carpet that I had to do when rearranging furniture. Definitely saves a lot of time and energy when you live alone and need to move things around. Love the added bonus of the resealable packaging so unused sliders stay in the bag rather than falling out in a drawer.
