Good value for money. Before use I put it in a cup of water. At first this filter floated. Using a spoon, I gently pressed the edges of the filter to force the air out. Faint traces of coal dust first appeared on the descent. Every few minutes I gently squeezed the filter again. After 15 minutes of soaking, I ran the filter under the tap just to make sure I was rinsing off the residue thoroughly. THEN I put this filter in a Cuisinart coffee maker I just bought. The coffee tastes wonderfully rich and aromatic and rivals the Java hangout in my area. I am very happy!
