I wore it yesterday when it was raining heavily in New York. What great protection from the elements! Between that raincoat and rubber boots, I was covered from head to toe. An umbrella, which would be useless in gusts of wind, is not needed. I'm 5ft 2in, about 130lbs and size XS fits well - you can adjust the waist and hood. The length offers coverage and you can walk easily. I have to go downstairs when going up the stairs on the subway to avoid dragging, but it doesn't matter. It's lightweight and wearing underneath shouldn't be a problem.
