I've read all the customer reviews and as a past owner of both the really fancy Burr Grinder and the Krups Knife Sharpener (lost on the last pull dammit) I can say that those who complain of static, uneven Grinding, cleaning problems, mess when opening the lid (tip: hold it upside down and gently tap the bottom to loosen the grinding, then slowly remove the lid) and broken red contact pin. I have to wonder: are they complaining because their socks aren't labeled L and R? This is a mill. It does a great job grinding coffee beans every morning. In my house this is really a very important task. Yes, it "drips" the bean dust a bit when you remove the cap. I have never owned a coffee grinder of any price or type that didn't have this. take a sponge *sigh* I loved my Krups, I loved my grinder (my ex got it in a divorce) and I love Bodum.
