10-11-19 I received my used non original packaging. Instructions were sparse even though it's really plug and play. Low cost and most importantly for ease of use. Good for creating a boot disk and system image or installing add-on drivers like printers etc. Exactly what I got it for. I wouldn't use mine to play multimedia DVDs or CDs, not sure how long it will last with repeated extended use. It must also be used on a flat surface, otherwise the drive will make noise and become unbalanced. And take a longer USB cable, the package length is only about 8 inches.
