it is paper. fits Lexus es300 from 2001
other buyers say it's all paperwork. all 3 are paper. Factory OEM, paper on top and metal on 2 bottom spacers. Coolant flows through the 2 bottom gaskets so I didn't like the idea of the paper gasket but it's all installed and no leaks so far. If you keep your car, you pay for the metal. If I had to buy again I wouldn't use them.
