I bought this insert for a small 3 drawer cabinet that I was building. I wanted the "wide" lining to fit 17 1/4" drawers. The first thing that struck me was how "soft" it is. The backing peels off easily and the adhesive isn't too tight aggressive so it's not too hard to reposition.I was able to smooth it out without wrinkles.There was no bad smell.As I only used this material to cover the bottom of the box I can't say how keeps it on a vertical surface.If I were to use this in a display or box shadow I would tend to use a roller.Looking at customer applications this material seems to stick to contoured surfaces so I'm encouraged to use one find other uses for this material.
