They're stronger than they look. They look pretty flimsy when I got them but they seem to work fine. I've seen the same shelves in local stores for more than double the price. I confess I don't use them for anything heavy. I use them with a 5ft x 8ft aluminum frame cargo trailer that I converted into a square RV. Be sure to put a piece of wood underneath to keep them from sinking into the ground and place a piece of wood between the trailer frames. and a kickstand, because with metal on metal, and if it falls on a weld or something like that, it slips a little when you crank it. a piece of wood will hold it in place.
