Review on Sensor Brite Wireless Sub Zero Resistant by Denese Fothergill

Not suitable for cold conditions

Even after seeing all the negative reviews I decided to buy the product as it was only $10. Upon receipt, I put in quality AAA alkaline batteries. The device glowed brightly and I made sure it went off in 20 seconds. And so it was. I then installed the freezer light according to the instructions and it worked straight away. I checked again to make sure the lights went out after 20 seconds and it did. I checked again about 4 hours later and the light was flickering and very dim. I checked again an hour later and it was completely disabled. I removed the block and replaced the batteries. The light was bright. I put the unit back in the freezer and the same error occurred. I still had the old batteries in my pocket and put them back in the device. The light came on again. The problem is that the device and/or the batteries cannot withstand freezing temperatures, although the device claims to work down to -13°. The unit now sits in my garage on my desk at around 50°F and it works great on the original batteries. I do not recommend this device for low temperatures, especially for a freezer or even a refrigerator.
