Definitely brightens up a dark freezer

Update: Battery stopped working after a month. My freezer doesn't open very often so I don't understand why the battery died. Maybe because of the extreme cold? But definitely not a positive result. 2 stars deducted thanks to this new discovery. Most recently, I reverted to an upper freezer after having a backlit lower one. I keep a lot of food in the freezer so the darkness was a disadvantage. I've tried using a flashlight, but that doesn't seem like a good long-term solution. Finding this…

Not suitable for cold conditions

Even after seeing all the negative reviews I decided to buy the product as it was only $10. Upon receipt, I put in quality AAA alkaline batteries. The device glowed brightly and I made sure it went off in 20 seconds. And so it was. I then installed the freezer light according to the instructions and it worked straight away. I checked again to make sure the lights went out after 20 seconds and it did. I checked again about 4 hours later and the light was flickering and very dim. I checked again…

Three sets of batteries changed in two weeks

I bought this for our fridge because the light in our fridge has stopped working and it's an old fridge that we can't fix. First, there isn't as much light as I would have expected from a small fridge. Dark areas are still attached at the top next to the light box of the refrigerator. Second, and more importantly, we've used three sets of AA batteries (six total) since installing it two weeks ago.
