This is absolutely 100% SYNTHETIC material. When I received my order some of the scarves had an odor which I assumed was from the paint. I decided to wash them before wearing and to prevent the color from bleeding and ruining the vibrant colors I used 2 color catcher sheets to soak up the color. Well, there was no dye in the Color Catcher Sheets. Natural materials always lose some, especially cotton with the first wash. Then I threw them in the dryer on low heat. No shrinkage and the amount of static electricity was amazing! I had to work really hard to separate them. That doesn't happen with natural fibers either. There was a loose thread so I tested it with a flame and it melted. So synthetic. Don't get me wrong, these are beautiful colors with a sheer texture, but I don't like being misled. I guess I should have known better because the price was so low, too low for natural fibers.
