For less than $4 this car mount does a great job with my 2000-2006 Nexus 4 and Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban. I've read great reviews of Kenu and Mudder mounts but couldn't figure out why they cost MUCH more. So I decided on this one and I'm glad I did! How it works: It has rubber slits on the back that slide over the vents. Then it just stays that way. The round portion of the mount is spring loaded and extends slightly to fit the phone snugly. Each side is covered with sticky rubber that also protects the phone. Depending on the vehicle, the USB or headphone sockets may also be covered. Some things to consider: if they don't fit properly, at least it won't cost you much! This will block most of the air coming out of your vent. This can be good if you have Waze enabled and are streaming music while it cools down your phone. The angle your phone is at may not be optimal and sometimes the sun hits it. But most likely it's at shoulder height, which is safer than your cup holders or on your knees. Mine was shipped from China and arrived in less than 2 weeks. My advice, unless you are sure that the dear Kenu has some must-have features, go for this one first. Updated 04/20/15. I still use this mount every day. It even works on Nexus 6.
