At first I was very happy to be able to replace all my brakes for a very low cost. The box arrived badly dented but that was to be expected as it was very, very heavy. The delivery man didn't seem too keen on carrying it to my porch. Initial quality looked good with beefy rotors and pads that included all the necessary lubes, seals and clamps. After the necessary break-in, my brakes were silky and grippy when needed. Dust build-up was about average and decreased as the brakes adjusted. There was no squeaking or crackling. Fast forward 5,000 miles and I couldn't be happier. I started hearing a loud grinding noise every time I hit the brakes. It turned out that the right front outer pad seal had come loose and was slowly rubbing against the center of the rotor. I removed the gasket and reinstalled the pad without it. Everything was fine until a month later the left front outer seal started doing the same. The very thin L-shaped ribs that hold the seals in the center are broken off. In 30 years of driving I have never had such a set of gaskets on a car. If I had left it for a few hundred more miles I probably would have cut the rotors in half. After removing all of the front spacers I still had no noise and figured that was the worst. Shortly after that I started getting a horribly pounding pedal and a jerky steering wheel. Now either one or both front brake discs are deformed or uneven material has been applied to the pad surface. My driving style is not sporty and 95% of my mileage is on the Autobahn. This has not been abused in any way. I'm going to my local parts store to buy another set of front rotors and pads that cost a little more. Two stars because the rear brakes seem to hold up.
